Automation Options
- Log In Automatically - if this option is checked, the application tries to
login to a host workstation every time the Command Console window is opened.
The default login parameters are set in the Connection Manager Host
Access tab.
- Set Environment Variables - if this option is checked, the
application tries to set Informix environment variables after the login.
Informix related environment variables are: INFORMIXDIR, ONCONFIG. They are
set in the Connection Manager Host Access tab. The INFORMIXDIR is also
added to the PATH variable.
- Custom Commands - you can specify a set of OS commands or scripts to
execute every time the connection is established.
- Automated Responses - If your UNIX/Linux user login script requires answering some prompts, such as, for example, selection of IDS server or a terminal type, you can automate the login by providing responses to these prompts. Enter ending portion (at least 2 characters) of the expected prompt into 'Expect' field and your response to this prompt into 'Send' field. Each response will be automatically terminated with newline character (Enter key).
For example, if you have a prompt that says "Choose IDS server you want to connect (1-Development, 2-Production):" and you are defining SSJE connection for production server, you should enter string 'duction):' into the Expect field and '2' into Send field.
