Table Reorganization Wizard

The Table Reorganization wizard helps you performing the following tasks:

• Compress data in a database table by removing deleted rows from the table extents.
• Move the table data into a different dbspace or fragment the table data across multiple dbspaces compressing the data in the same time.
• Change table's first extent/next extent parameters and reorganize table extents.

It generates a complete script for actions required for selected reorganization method and allows either to run the generated script or to use it from other tools at the later time.

There are multiple ways to open the Table Reorganization wizard:

• Select required table in the Object Explorer tree view and choose Maintenance -> Re-Organize popup menu.
• Select required table in the Object Explorer tree view and press the Object Explorer Re-Organize toolbox button.
• Choose Tools -> Table Re-Organizer top-level menu.
