System Alerts
System alerts are triggered under following situations:
- Monitored database instance goes off-line. The
Sentinel server will automatically keep attempting to recover a failed
database connection. All affected monitors automatically resume execution when
a database connection is recovered. Another system information alert is sent
after the database server connection is recovered.
- The Sentinel server shutdown. All active monitors and
scheduled jobs can not be executed when this event occurs. All affected
scheduled jobs and monitors will automatically resume after the Sentinel
server is re-started.
- Some monitors have session level filters defined for
specific session ids that were disconnected while the monitor is running. The
affected monitor continues execution after this event is sent.
- The internal Sentinel application error.
