Search Result Page

The Search Result page of the DB Search panel displays results of the search operation.

The 'Referred By' report shows all objects, which refer to a selected object or use it in any way. You can think of it as a report on objects, which depend on the selected object, and might stop function properly if this object will be deleted or modified. You might want to run this report before you plan to delete or modify this object. You can also use this report for a backend documentation purposes.

The following objects will be displayed in the report produced by 'Referred By' operation:

• All stored procedures, which use the selected object directly. For example, if you run this report for a table, any stored procedure, which has SQL queries referring to this table, will be displayed.
• All views, which refer to this object in its SQL SELECT statement. For example, if you run this report for a stored function, and a view use this function as part of the query, it will be displayed.
• All triggers, which refer to this object. For example,  if you run this report for a stored stored procedure, and this stored procedure is called from a trigger, this trigger will be displayed.
• If you run this report for a table, all other tables with foreign key relationships to this table, will be displayed.

The top panel of this report result page shows the tree, which displays objects and line numbers within these object's syntax satisfying 'referred by' criteria.

The bottom panel shows syntax and dependencies details for an object selected in the top tree.

To print the search results using File -> Print menu.

To save results in a text file, press Save Results button located in top area of the panel.

You can switch back to a search criteria page using Back button at the bottom of the page.
