If you have multiple similar IDS instances, they can utilize similar monitors created and tested for one of the instances. Use Replicate menu from a monitor node shortcut menu, to use existing monitor as a template to create similar monitors for other instances. After a monitor structure is replicated for another IDS instance, it can be independently edited to adjust to this instance specifics, such as alert threshold levels or user names. After the Copy operation, replicated monitor names are created by adding "_#" suffix to a template monitor name, where # is a random number. You can rename these monitors afterwards.
