Managing Users

The Permission Manager add-on module adds Users folder under a database folder in the Object Explorer. Users folder displays all users registered to access this database.

To add new user to a database:

1. Select Users folder under the database
2. Choose New -> User from a popup menu.
3. In the New User dialog box, enter a user name and required privilege level: DBA, Resource or Connect.
4. Press OK button to add user.

To display user privileges:

• Select a user node under Users folder in the Object Explorer.
• Choose the Properties popup menu. All database object permissions, assigned to this user, will be displayed in the User Permissions View in the Properties Panel.

To edit user privileges:

• Select a user node under Users folder in the Object Explorer.
• Choose the Edit Permissions popup menu. The User Permission Editor panel will be opened as a separate document.
