Fragmenting a Table Using a Round-Robin
Distribution Scheme
A round-robin distribution scheme distributes table data to multiple dbspaces
in equal portions.
To fragment a table using the
round-robin distribution scheme
- In the Table Editor, click the General tab.
- Select Fragmented from the Table Location list box.
The Distribution Scheme drop-down list box appears.
- Select Round-Robin from the Distribution Scheme list box.
- In the DBSpace grid, select the dbspaces where you want the table to be
stored.
- Click an empty grid row to add addition dbspaces.
A DBSpaces list box appears, showing the dbspaces that are not used by the
table.
- Select the appropriate dbspace and repeat, as necessary.
If there is no empty row, then all dbspaces are currently being used by the
table.
- Choose Table->Execute to save the table in the database.
Note
The fragmenting distribution scheme might not be available for your IBM Informix
database server.
