To execute ON-Utilities, such as ONSTAT, ONMODE or any other server side scripts, use the Command Console document.
The Command Console document is a standard Telnet Terminal opened against the server host node specified in the stored connection. All required Informix environment variables, such as INFORMIXDIR, ONCONFIG, INFORMIXSERVER are automatically set so that you can immediately execute any of the On-Utilities.
Because the Command Console is a telnet terminal you can execute any command or script, which you can execute from your regular telnet terminal.
You can open multiple Command Console panels against the same or multiple servers.
To open the Command Console, select the required server connection from the Object Explorer and choose Command Console from the popup menu.
Note
To use this function, you have to configure optional Host Access parameters for the selected server connection in the Connection Manager window. If you have not specified these parameters and attempt to use the Command Console, you will be prompted to enter them. See Configuring Server Remote Access for more details on required configuration parameters.
