Object Reference Search

The Dependencies Analyzer provides powerful database search function, which allows searching for any object usage pattern within single or multiple databases or any text string within stored database objects syntax.

For example, you can search for all references to a stored procedure, which name starts from word 'account'. Or you can search for all places, where specified table is used for update and delete operations. Or you can locate all stored procedures and views, which contain hard-coded constant "Savings".

There are multiple ways to open a search panel:

• Use Tools -> DB Schema Manager -> Object Reference Search menu. From the Connect dialog box, choose a database connection, for which you want start the search engine.
• Select a database in the Object Explorer and choose DBSchema -> Object Reference Search from the popup menu. This will initiate search engine in the selected database.
• Select any database object (including table column under table node) and choose  Search for References from popup menu
