Adding Chunks

To add a chunk to an existing space:

1. Select required space, to which you want to add a chunk in the Spaces folder for the required server in the Object Explorer tree and choose New -> Chunk from the popup menu.
2. Enter required parameters in the Add Chunk dialog box and press OK button.

Note

To use this function against Informix Dynamic Servers older than 11.x, you have to configure optional Host Access parameters for the selected server connection in the Connection Manager window. If you did not specify these parameters and attempt to use the Command Console, you will be prompted to enter them. See Configuring Server Remote Access for more details on required configuration parameters.
