Add Chunk Dialog Box

The Add Chunk dialog box allows you to enter all parameters required to add a chunk to a space.

You should enter chunk file names using server OS file name conventions.

For Informix Dynamic Servers older than 11.x, the Command Preview field displays the generated ONSPACES command, which will be send to a server. You can copy this command and paste it into your script using the popup Copy menu. For IDS 11.x, Server Studio does not require ONSPACES utility and Telnet/SSH connectivity to a target IDS server.

For Informix Dynamic servers 11.7, Server Studio provides additional options to create chunk from the pool and make chunk expandable.

Press Proceed button to execute the command on the server.

To open the Add Chunk dialog box, select the space, to which you want to add a chunk, in the Object Explorer and choose New -> Chunk from the popup menu.
